Caching stores website data to your computer so the computer doesn't have to redownload data every time you open a new website. This generally makes sites load faster.

If you're getting performance issues with your web browser, it can be a good idea to clear the cache to reset the browser. Below explains how to do this in chrome and edge.

In Chrome:

1. Click on the in the top right-hand corner of your browser.

2. Click on Privacy and security.

3. Click on Delete history, cookies, cache and more.

4. In the window that pops up clear the check boxes for Browsing history and Cookies and other site data, leaving just Cached images and files selected.

5. Click the Delete data button.

6. Log out of Jedox and close Chrome completely, then open Chrome and log back in.

In Edge:

1. Click on the in the top right-hand corner of your browser.

2. Click on Privacy, search and services.

3. Click on Clear browsing data now.

4. In the window that pops up clear the check boxes for Browsing history, Download history and Cookies and other site data, leaving just Cached images and files selected.

5. Click the Delete data button.

6. Log out of Jedox and close Edge completely, then open Edge and log back in.

Clear Cache when Browser is Closed

Doing this means the web browser will clear the cache every time the browser closes - which means you'll avoid cache issues.
